Jeff Derose People see what they want to see in my work and hear what they want to hear in my words. What follows is a brief description of the work on display at GalleryTK. Polarity is a recurring theme in my work. The photography exhibition focuses on the beginning and ending of life. The video installation is an exploration of the 4 elements: fire, water, earth and air. I have a strong resistance to artist statements. They often become an obstacle that prevents the viewer from having an intuitive response to the work. It is this response that most interests me.
